Oho.Solutions Building Belonging Through Food, Strength, and Community

Mission: Food. Strength. Community. Bringing people together through shared meals, sport, and culture in the Transcaucasus.
Vision: Thriving villages where heritage, resilience, and cooperation shape the future.
The Challenge: Why Oho Solutions – Chemo Suliko Matters The Transcaucasus region is rich in history, culture, and natural resources. Yet many rural communities face growing challenges that threaten their long-term vitality. -Youth Migration- Many young people leave villages in search of education and economic opportunities elsewhere, weakening local economies and community life. -Cultural Erosion- Traditional practices, local knowledge, and regional food heritage are gradually disappearing as older generations pass them on to fewer successors. -Limited Local Opportunities- Rural areas often lack spaces where people can work, learn, collaborate, and build meaningful livelihoods within their own communities. -Environmental Pressure- Unsustainable agricultural and economic practices can harm soil, forests, and biodiversity, reducing long-term resilience. These challenges call for community-driven solutions that strengthen local economies, celebrate cultural heritage, and create places where people can gather, learn, and build a shared future. Oho Solutions responds to this challenge through “Chemo Suliko,” a community yard where food, culture, sport, and cooperation bring people together and help revive the spirit of village life.-

Oho. Solutions

From Struggles to Strength: Teona Katsitadze’s Vision Behind Oho Solutions – Chemo Suliko

At the center of this initiative is Teona Katsitadze, founder of Oho Solutions and the Chemo Suliko community yard. Growing up in post-Soviet Georgia, Teona witnessed the economic difficulties, migration, and social changes that many rural communities experienced during the country’s transition years. These early experiences shaped her interest in community development and local cooperation. Through programs supported by organizations such as USAID, UNICEF, and the European Voluntary Service, Teona gained experience in civic engagement, youth participation, and international community work. These opportunities helped her understand how local initiatives and international cooperation can strengthen communities. Today, she brings these experiences together through Oho Solutions, working to create practical spaces where people can gather, collaborate, and build opportunities within their own communities.

Our Solution: Chhemo Suliko Community Yard – A Catalyst for Change

Chhemo Suliko Community YardChhemo Suliko, the flagship initiative of Oho Solutions, is more than a community yard. It is a place where food, culture, sport, and cooperation bring people together. Located in the village of Skhvitori in Sachkhere Municipality, Chhemo Suliko aims to revive the spirit of village life by creating a welcoming space where people gather, share experiences, and support each other. The first phase of the project focuses on three core elements: Food & Culinary Heritage Through Oho Cuisine, Chhemo Suliko will offer simple farm-to-table meals, traditional Georgian recipes, and baked goods prepared with locally sourced ingredients. The project also promotes regional products such as chestnut flour, mulberry syrup, and buckthorn products, helping preserve culinary traditions while supporting local producers. Community Gatherings & Cultural Exchange Chhemo Suliko will host storytelling evenings, open-fire cooking experiences, workshops, and community events that celebrate the cultural heritage of the Transcaucasus. These gatherings create opportunities for locals and visitors to connect, share knowledge, and strengthen community ties. Strength, Sport, and Well-BeingThe Oho Armwrestling Club will provide a space for youth and adults to train together, build discipline, and develop confidence through sport. Physical activity, community engagement, and healthy food traditions form an important part of the project’s approach to well-being.
